GSIN

The GSIN or Global Shipment Identification Number is the GS1 Identification Key used to identify a grouping of logistics units that comprise a shipment from one consignor to one consignee (buyer) referencing a despatch advice and/or BOL. The GS1 Identification Key is comprised of a GS1 Company Prefix, Shipper Reference and Check Digit and may be encoded in a barcode symbol using the Application Identifier or AI (402).

The GSIN is constructed as:
