GS1 MAKES IT POSSIBLE ...

Interoperability, made possible by identification standards, data capture standards and data exchange standards, enables product information to flow between trading partners. There can be no visibility of an item until there is a standard way for everyone in the supply chain to capture and share information about it.

The use of GS1 Standards provides answers to the what, where, when and why of a specific product's movement through the supply chain. GS1 Standards facilitate supply chain optimisation and create more efficient business processes that reduce human error and cut costs.

GS1 Data Exchange

The three components of GS1 Data Exchange are: Master Data and Data Synchronisation via the National Product Catalogue, Transactional Data Exchange with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Physical Event Data sharing with EPCIS (Electronic Product Code Information Services).
