GS1 Member Peggy Rain gets backing from Dragon's Den investors
Irish inventor Colin O’Brien of Peggy Rain appeared on BBC’s Dragons Den last week and impressed the Dragons enough to partner up with Touker Suleyman, settling on an offer of £80,000 for a 45% stake in his business.
Peggy Rain is a clothes line that automatically covers your clothes when it starts to rain, with no power needed to operate.

€20 Million Retrofit Commences at EirGen Pharma
EirGen Pharma has announced the commencement of works in its new plant in the IDA Industrial Estate in Waterford, including a €20 million internal refit and additional Plant rooms.
The new facility will provide an additional 3,500m2 of state-of-the-art manufacturing and packaging capabilities for its global customer base.

Juspy aims to beat the January blues
GS1 member Juspy makes a superfood supplement comprised of marine collagen, protein, vitamins, and minerals that they claim is designed for anyone living a busy life to give them “the extra edge”.
Speaking to the Limerick Post, founder Leonie Lynch said that the idea for the product came about after she had just had a baby while studying for her PhD.

Terlato Wine Group has announced a new partnership with Ireland’s West Cork distillers.
Effective January 1, 2024, Terlato Wine Group became West Cork Distiller’s exclusive sales and marketing agent in the United States.

Irish pet treat co-manufacturer seeking North American partners
GS1 Ireland member Origin Valley Pet Nutrition, an Irish pet treat manufacturer specializing in air-dried formats, recently announced plans to expand its reach across the Atlantic.
The company is now actively exploring private label partnerships with brands in the North American market.
