Kerry company working to improve crop tolerance to climate change stresses
GS1 Member BioAtlantis, a Kerry based biotechnology company is a partner in a new European research project focusing on developing new technologies to improve crop tolerances associated with climate change.
BioAtlantis manufactures plant biostimulant products using natural compounds derived from renewable marine and terrestrial resources, including seaweed.
Biostimulants increase plant growth, and strengthen crops to make them more resistant to disease.

Musgrave agrees new five-year €170m deal with Ballymaguire Foods
Musgrave has agreed a new €170m five year deal with Co Dublin-based ready meal producer Ballymaguire Foods.
Under the new contract, Ballymaguire Foods will continue to supply homegrown, Irish-made prepared meals and side dishes to Musgrave retail brands SuperValu, Centra and Daybreak.
Ballymaguire Foods have won several awards including Blas na hÉireann, Irish Quality Food Awards, Great Taste Awards, and Fingal Chamber Business Excellence Awards.

Kenmare’s Star Seafoods chooses Alzheimer Society of Ireland as corporate partner
Kenmare’s Star Seafoods has chosen the Alzheimer Society of Ireland of as its corporate partner for June.
Star Seafoods has launched its Don’t Forget Your Salmon Campaign, which aims to raise awareness of the benefits of healthy eating, as well as raise funds for people living with dementia and their families.
In June, Star Seafoods will donate €10 for every kilogram of salmon bought on starseafoods.ie to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland.

Lisa Kleiner co-founded Nibbed with niece and business partner Anna O’Sullivan, from Kilcoole, Co Wicklow.
