Welcome to GS1 Ireland Member’s News the first week of July. We are officially halfway through the year and have lots more member news to share with you.

  

11 Irish food companies awarded €32m for capital projects from Enterprise Ireland

The public investment will ensure the delivery of 12 important capital projects in primary food plants across the country.

All 11 of the food companies are members of GS1 Ireland including Dew Valley Foods, Kepak Clonee, Kildare Chilling, Lakeland Dairies, Tirlán, Liffey Meats, Ingredient Solutions Limited,  Staunton Foods Limited, Queally Pig Slaughtering, Dansko Foods and Dairygold Cooperative Society.

The scheme will assist companies to strengthen their operational capability and pursue product and market diversification strategies and will support the long-term future of our vital agri-food sector.

Glendalough Distillery crowned ‘Ireland Distillery of the Year’

For the second year in a row Glendalough Distillery has been names ‘Ireland Distillery of the Year’ at the New York International Spirits Competition.

Glendalough Distillery makes luxury spirits in the Wicklow Mountains and has become a leader in crafting innovative Irish spirits.

GS1 Member Carrolls Irish Gifts have announced an exciting collaboration with Irish Band The High Kings.

Carrolls are well known for promoting Irish culture with 75% of their products coming from Irish suppliers.

The High Kings are celebrating the launch of their brand new album ‘The Road Not Taken’ which was officially launched with a live performance in Carrolls flagship stores on Grafton Street and Westmoreland Street in Dublin last Friday.
