HealthBeacon signs contract with US pharmacy group

Irish digital therapeutics company HealthBeacon has entered into a multi-year contract with one of the largest independent pharmacy benefits managers in the U.S. The deal will make its injection care management system more widely available to the nine million patients in the US who self-administer injections at home. HealthBeacon said its most recent peer-reviewed publication demonstrated up to a 26 per cent improvement in injectable medication adherence. Through the new contract, HealthBeacon expects to deploy up to 15,000 units this year of its Smart Sharps Bin.

Phytaphix reaches final of World Food Innovation Awards 2022

Dundalk based company, Phytaphix, has reached the final of World Food Innovation Awards 2022 in the category of 'Best Functional Product'. Phytaphix developed a product called Immune Phix which is a high strength immune support formula in powder form that can be added to food and drinks. The product contains Vitamin C from dried berries and cherries, Vitamin D3 from marine algae, magnesium from marine multi-mineral complex from the Irish Sea among other vitamins and minerals known to support immune function. Winners of the competition will be announced at International Food & Drink Event in ExCel, London later this year.

Pro-Tray wins Co. Carlow Web Award

Pro-Tray, an electrical contractor and containment company based in Myshall, Co. Carlow picked up the award for Best Export Website at the Co. Carlow Web Awards last week. Congratulations Pro-Tray!

Blakes Always Organic wins County Enterprise Award

Drumshanbo based business, Blakes Always Organic, is this year’s winner of the Leitrim County Enterprise Award. Founder John Brennan took home the top prize of €3,000 and will now represent Local Enterprise Office Leitrim at the National Enterprise Awards at the Mansion House in Dublin in June. Blakes Always Organic produces organic kefir and whole-bean artisan organic coffees which can be found in a range of retail stores nationwide. The business will now compete against finalists from every local authority area for a share of the €35,000 winners prize fund as national judging gets underway in May. Categories this year include ‘Best Export Business,’ ‘Best Start-Up’ and ‘Innovation,’.  There are also two new National Enterprise Awards this year with a “One to Watch” award and a “Sustainability / Green” award.
