Louth company signs up to Ireland’s upcoming four-day week pilot scheme

GS1 Ireland member, Soothing Solutions, has signed up to Four Day Week Ireland's pilot programme due to start next year. The scheme will see businesses in Ireland participate in a six-month trial of a four-day working week, alongside similar pilot schemes in other countries including the US, Iceland, Canada and New Zealand. Four Day Week Ireland presented its campaign for a reduced working week to the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Enterprise, Trade & Employment last Wednesday morning. Businesses that participate in the pilot will receive mentoring from organisations that have already implemented a four-day week. Among the 17 companies due to participate in the pilot programme next year are bioceuticals manufacturing company and GS1 Ireland member, Soothing Solutions. Speaking about their upcoming involvement, Sinéad Crowther, CEO of Soothing Solutions, said: “Soothing Solutions is a young, growing business, so now is the perfect opportunity to try to build a four-day working week into how we run the business. A four-day working week will benefit staff by giving them more time to spend with their families or focusing on their passions, which we strongly believe will in turn result in greater productivity.”
