West Cork foods to be stocked in Brussels due to Brexit

West Cork food products, including Clonakilty Blackpudding, have been stocked on shelves of Stonemanor a 'British supermarket' near Brussels. The store had experienced difficulty in stocking their shelves with certain products due to Brexit. SuperValu came to their rescue last week when two truckloads arrived with items including Clonakilty Blackpudding. In a statement made to The Southern Star, Stonemanor store manager Ryan Pearce said they were facing closure due to falling stock levels until they made the call to the Musgrave Group, which operates the SuperValu brand, and that they are now fully reliant on Irish suppliers until these issues are resolved.

Award-Winning Grace O’Malley Premium Spirits And Proclamation Whiskey Advance In U.S. Markets

Grace O’Malley Irish whiskey has seen accelerated growth in US states Pennsylvania and Michigan. This success comes after big wins at the San Diego International Wine & Spirits Awards with their blended Irish whiskey earning a gold medal and their Heather Infused Irish Gin earning a silver medal. Proclamation Whiskey, which also won a gold medal, has made positive gains in the Michigan and New Hampshire markets.

“It is very rare for an Irish spirits brand to gain traction in several control states within 12 months of launching in the market. Not only do we have a compelling story as the first Irish whiskey named after a woman, the legendary 16th Century Irish Pirate Queen, but our liquid is exceptional and speaks for itself,” said Stephen Cope, Founder and Managing Director of Grace O’Malley Spirits.
