Grow with Aldi is back for Christmas
Grow with Aldi is back for the festive period! The products listed below, all from Irish producers will be in 144 Aldi stores nationwide from Sunday, 15th November while stocks last. Quaid Candles Wax Melts will be in-store Thursday, 19th November. Well done to Aldi for supporting homegrown producers!

Life Scientific’s Nicola Mitchell named EY Entrepreneur of the Year
Huge congratulations are in order for Life Scientific founder Nicola Mitchell who has been named 2020 EY Entrepreneur of the Year. Life Scientific was founded 25 years ago and develops off-patent agrochemicals to protect crops. Ms Mitchell won in both the international and overall categories at the virtual awards ceremony. John O’Connell, co-founder of West Cork Distillers, received the award for EY Industry Entrepreneur of the Year.

Powerscourt Distillery launches their limited edition Fercullen 18-year-old single malt
Powerscourt Distillery has just launched a limited edition of their Fercullen 18-year-old single malt, called “Five Elements”. Fercullen Five Elements 18-year-old limited edition will be available online at powerscourtdistillery.com and at selected off-licences around the country. The RRP for this edition, limited to just 1,500 bottles, is €180.
Irish food and drink businesses needed for government-supported programme
Bord Bia, Enterprise Ireland and Teagasc have launched Food Works 2021 – which is a government-supported accelerator programme that helps export-driven Irish food and drink businesses to grow. Successful applicants will participate in an intensive growth programme with access to grant funding for each company. The funding will enable them develop their product into an investment-ready product with international appeal. Almost 100 food and drink businesses have been accepted on to the programme and previous Food Works businesses include Wicklow Wolf; Nobó; and Bean & Goose Chocolate. You can apply here now. Applications for the 2021 Food Works programme close on January 29, 2021.
Brennan’s Brewery releases beer-infused chilli sauce
Wexford company Brennan’s Brewery has launched a new product, Brennan’s Original Chilli Sauce, which is the result of a partnership with Welsh company, Pembrokeshire Chilli Farm. The sauce is available to buy online as part of their Sauce Gift Box here.
Kilkenny's first online Christmas market goes live
