GS1 Ireland members win at The RSVP Magazine Spa Awards 2021

Three GS1 Ireland members have won awards at the RSVP Magazine Spa Awards 2021: Ireland's Best Home Spa Products. Ella & Jo Cosmetics took home the award for 'Best Bedtime Ritual'. Hemp Heros won for 'Best CBD Oil' and Brooke and Shoals were successful in the 'Best Reed Diffuser' category. Congratulations to all of the winners.

HidraMed Solutions among the winners at Visa’s inaugural She’s Next Grant Programme

Galway-based HidraMed Solutions has been named among the winners at Visa’s inaugural She’s Next Grant Programme. Founded by Suzanne Moloney, the company was chosen from hundreds of entrants as the winner in the 'Innovation' category. The ‘She’s Next’ programme sees five women business-owners in Ireland receive a grant of €5,000 and one-year business mentoring through IFundWomen. HidraMed Solutions is the company behind HidraWear, which has revolutionised wound care for those suffering from Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS).

Bluedrop Medical to receive funding from major EU accelerator

Irish startup, Bluedrop Medical, is to receive funding in the largest European Innovation Council Accelerator round to date. The aim of the accelerator is to support start-ups developing and scaling innovations with a combination of equity financing and grants. GS1 Ireland member, Bluedrop Medical, will receive blended finance to support their projects. Headquartered in Galway, Bluedrop Medical has developed remote patient monitoring technology for those with diabetic foot ulcers. It has been approved for €15m in funding, which it said will help it enter markets in the US and Europe.

Two GS1 Ireland members win at Donegal Enterprise Awards

Organised by Local Enterprise Office Donegal, the Donegal Enterprise Awards celebrate the achievements of Donegal’s small business community as they dealt with both BREXIT and a global pandemic. Richard and Olivia Finney of New Kid Coffee were awarded Best Start-Up. Bridget and Hugh Wilhare of Mulroy Bay Mussels won The Food Coast Enterprise Award. Congraulations to all of the winners.
