Neurent Medical raises over €20 million in funding

Neurent Medical, a medtech company headquartered in Galway, has raised $25m (€20.6m) in second-round funding. They have developed a device that applies low power radio frequency energy to nerves in the nose to stop the inflammatory response that leads to rhinitis, or chronic runny nose. Founded in 2014, they previously raised $11m in their first financing round in May 2018. The company currently employs 14 people and it plans to increase this number to 50 by the end of 2023. This information came from Independent.ie and The Irish Times

Stillgarden Distillery Launches new Mid-strength Drink

Dublin-based Stillgarden Distillery has launched a brand new mid-strength spirit. Give & Take is a gin-like spirit that has flavours of Macedonian juniper, local nettles, ginger, coriander seed, basil and chamomile. This 22% ABV spirit is available for €33 for a 70cl bottle. Give & Take is available on the Stillgarden website. Stillgarden has also launched a campaign called Cultiv8, where they will be sharing stories from their community via their website and social channels demonstrating how to live a more sustainable lifestyle through tutorials, recipes, home gardening, healthier products and sustainability tips. West Donegal company hoping to increase workforce by fifty per cent

A west Donegal company manufacturing components for some of the world’s most recognised car brands is looking to grow its workforce by fifty per cent.
Irish Pressings Ltd. is based in the Údarás na Gaeltachta Industrial Estate in Gweedore and specialises in the design and manufacture of tooling and metal pressed components for a range of engineering sectors, most notably automotive. The company which has grown from a small start-up with three employees in 2005 to a very successful SME employing 75 people. This information came from Donegal News.

Teeling Whiskey launch the latest in their range of 'Brabazon' single malts
