Solvar Irish Jewellery celebrates 80 years of their iconic Claddagh rings

Solvar Irish Jewellery is celebrating 80 years in business this year. In 1941, their founder Gustaf Obernik opened Solvar at no.10 Harcourt street Dublin and handcrafted their very first Claddagh ring. They have been making the iconic rings, handcrafted to the highest standard by skilled goldsmiths, in Dublin ever since. Every piece of Solvar's sterling silver and gold jewellery are hallmarked by the Assay office in Dublin Castle, one of the oldest Assay offices in the world. It was founded in 1637 to ensure only the purest quality gold and silver were used in the crafting of jewellery and is still located today on the grounds of Dublin Castle. You can find out more about Solvar Irish Jewellery on their website. You can also check them out on Facebook and Instagram
