The Board of GS1 Ireland in preparing its budget for 2012 has again decided to maintain the current rate of fees.  This will be the 4^th year that no increase has been applied.  As part of the process the Board also undertook a review of GLN use in Ireland. This project was prompted by the need to support our user community through furthering the growth of EDI and to prepare Member companies for the advent of product data synchronisation services.

As a result of this review it was decided that the pricing structure for Location Numbers should be rationalised in order to equalise GLN costs across the community. Equalisation will involve a new, single, uniform annual licence rate being applied to all GLNs, regardless of type and use. Read more about GLN rate rationalisation.

GS1 licence fees apply to the current calendar year and are valid until December 31st regardless of the subscription date. Licence Fees are renewable annually and are billed in January of each year. Fees are due within 30 days of date of invoice. Please note that GS1 Licence fees are billed on a current calendar year basis, regardless of your original Membership Date.

An administration (manual handling) charge of €50 is applicable to non – direct debit accounts to cover the additional costs involved in the collection of outstanding invoices. To avoid this charge in 2012 all non-DD account holders are invited to sumbit a Direct Debit Mandate for the collection of future annual invoices. A copy of the mandate is attached below.
