GS1 Ireland provides licenses of unique numbers to identify everything from products to people to places. These numbers are used for barcodes, RFID tags, in electronic communications and for data synchronisation.
On joining GS1 Ireland you will be given a GS1 global company prefix. This is a unique number that makes your company, and each of its products, instantly recognisable and unmistakable to your customers (and their customers) around the globe.
By using your company prefix you will be able to create unique numbers to barcode products.

How do I join?
You can join GS1 Ireland today using the online application form or print one of the attached application forms and send it back to us.
You will need the following information to complete the form:
- A copy of your CRO number (if applicable)
- VAT Number
- Credit card or debit card details
- Direct Debit Mandate (Original must be posted to GS1 Ireland)
All new registrations pay a one off registration fee and complete the Direct Debit Mandate for the annual licence fee.
