Barcoding - Course description
The full day course guides you through the key steps of getting a barcode on your product and a detailed understanding of the standards relating to automatic identification and data capture. This course is aimed at those working and who require a technical knowledge of GS1 Barcoding Standards in Consumer Goods – Food and Non-Food, Healthcare, Waste/Environmental, Textile, Electrical and Electronic Industries. The course also addresses how the GS1 Standards are applied to address Logistics and Traceability management. The course will address the particular needs of the companies attending the training to ensure individual requirements are addressed.
The course will cover the following topics:
• Introduction to GS1 Ireland
• Overview of GS1 Standards
• Introduction to GS1 numbers and what they can be used to identify
• Building a complete GS1 Identification Keys 
• The rules and best practices in relation to number allocation and management
• The different bar code symbols in the GS1 family (EAN-13, GS1-128, GS1 DataMatrix, GS1 DataBar)
• Pallet Label Best Practice
• Printing quality bar codes and Verification
The course will address the particular needs of the companies attending the training to ensure individual requirements are addressed.
Companies may bring samples of barcodes they are generating.

EDI Training:

The objective of this course is to give the students a full understanding of all aspects of electronic trading. The course begins with an overview on the need for standards and gradually builds up to the construction of EDI messages themselves.Forthcoming Data Pool Training:
