GS1 is a not for profit organisation dedicated to the design and implementation of global standards and solutions to improve the efficiency and visibility of supply and demand chains globally and across sectors. The GS1 system of standards is the most widely used supply chain standards system in the world, GS1 has been helping businesses do business with each other for more than 30 years.
GS1 offer a portfolio of standards that enable efficient supply chain management. GS1 standards include globally unique identification numbers(GS1 barcodes), GS1 eCom (electronic commerce tools) to next generation technologies and solutions such as GS1 GDSN for efficient exchange of product master data, GS1 EPCglobal our RFID division, provides standards for implementation of RFID and barcode solutions which enable full supply chain visibility and enhanced traceability.
GS1 also offers a wide range of services to help businesses use these standards and technologies, including technical support, implementation advice and consulting and training through our Professional services division.
