Tipperary poultry farmer wins Newbie New Entrant competition
Kylie Magner of Magners Farm in Moyglass, Co Tipperary has won the second Newbie project New Entrant competition. The Newbie Network is an EU Horizon 2020 funded project with 10 European partners and offers a unique platform by bringing together new entrants, successors, advisors, researchers, important regional and national actors and relevant stakeholders in national networks. The aim is to enable new entrants to successfully establish a sustainable farm business in Europe. Magners Farm was established by Kylie and Billy Magner in 2017. Kylie developed a free-range poultry enterprise on the farm, initially selling eggs at local markets. Congratulations Kylie.

Every Can Counts announces partnership with The Naked Collective
Every Can Counts has announced a new partnership with Irish start-up, The Naked Collective, to help inspire and encourage more people to recycle their empty drink cans. The Naked Collective will join forces with Every Can Counts, to raise awareness of the importance of recycling and increase recycling rates in Ireland. As part of the partnership, The Naked Collective will provide funding to the programme, with the brands working together to spread the message that drinks cans are endlessly recyclable.

ZT Fish Company expanding to new locations
The ZT Fish Company distributes fish throughout West Cork and is currently expanding into new locations. The company was established three years ago and are now distributing fish throughout West Cork. Founder Zeik Tuit and his team opened a stall outside the Spar shop in 2019, and they continue to be there every Friday from 9am to 5pm. Available to purchase are cod, hake, plaice, John Dory, haddock, lemon sole, monkfish and fresh Irish prawns. In April 2020, he opened a stall in the car park of Harte’s Spar in Clonakilty, and the team is there every Thursday from 10am to 3pm. He has also opened a location in Innishannon, outside the Centra store. His team is there on Wednesdays from 9am to 2pm. They attend Douglas Farmers Market on Saturdays also. Irish entrepreneur Denise Kenny Byrne launches The Head Plan App
Since launching in December 2019, entrepreneur Denise Kenny Byrne's guided journal The Head Plan has grown into an Instagram community of over 50k wellness enthusiasts. And now she has just launched The Head Plan app which features meditations, journaling prompts and personal development & wellness articles. The app is available on the App Store for iPhone here.

Kilkenny Design to sell products from Cork’s Kingsley Hotel
A new partnership between The Kingsley Hotel and Kilkenny Design means that it is now possible to purchase an array of products from The Kingsley’s online boutique. The collection will feature Irish gifts, homeware and jewellery from Kilkenny Design. The "Kilkenny collection at The Kingsley" includes a wonderful selection of art from Cork-based artist Belinda Northcote, pottery from Paul Maloney, Erin Knitwear’s hand-knit Aran collection of hats and luxury throws from Foxford. There is also a range of jewellery available from West Cork-based Enibas, including their ‘Croí Alainn’ (beautiful heart) signature collection.
